Heat resistant exhaust mountings

Powersprint exhaust mountings are highly heat resistant from -55°C up to +220°C; unlike standard exhaust mounts made of natural rubber (-50°C up to +90°C).
The exhaust hangers of the most sport- and racing-systems are usually not or only insufficiently thermally decoupled. Because of this the rising exhaust temperature, that transfers into the steel hanger, will also heat up the rubber hangers dramatically. Consequently the rubber hangers loose more and more shore hardness by increasing temperature. Step by step the hangers get softer and weaker until they finally tear apart. In the worst case, if the rubber gets heated up to +90°C and beyond, the rubber gets so soft, that it is no longer able to absorb energy anymore. In this case the heavy exhaust system and the impact of driving dynamics stress the overheated and weakened rubber so much, that it just tears off.
The special material used makes Powersprint high performance exhaust mounts highly temperature resistant up to +220°C. This feature drops the risk of failure in consequence of overheating dramatically.
